2010 UPDATED IMPORTANT RACE INFO

• Date: Sunday, July 18, 2010
  
• Start: 1pm for all divisions/disciplines
• Entry Fee: $50
• Late entries: $60 after July 1st
• Entry fee includes T-shirt, delicious dinner, liquid refreshments, and competitors medal if placing in top 3 of division.
• Eligibility: Open to men and women at least 18 years of age (exceptions may apply).
  
• Race directors reserve the right to refuse participation to entrants for any reason.
• Course: The race begins offshore from Maliko Gulch and follows the coastline and
ends on the beach at Kahului Harbor, a distance of 9.54 miles, approximately 1.5 to 4 hours long.
• Water start outside Maliko Gulch. Beach finish at Hawaiian Canoe Club.
• Pre-Registration from 2 to 5pm on Saturday, July 11 at "Flatbread" Restaurant, 89 Hana Hwy, Paia (across from Anthony’s Coffee).
  If you pre-registered by mail, there is no need to come to Flatbread, but you are welcome to come enjoy free pizza.
• Final registration begins at 10 am, Sunday, July 18 at Maliko Gulch.
• Mandatory pre-race meeting at 12:15pm race day at Maliko Gulch staging area.
• Stand-Up paddlers must remain standing at all times (no knees), even in the Harbor.
• Parking at Maliko Gulch is tight. Drop-offs and carpooling are highly recommended.
• Safety: All paddlers must wear a leash or carry a whistle. Safety escorts will be in the
water if needed. Any paddler who is having difficulty may be taken out of the water at the race directors discretion.
